We had such a great time at our Botanical Basics Workshop last month. The photos featured here are from our Autumn Bounty workshop. The Botanical Basics Workshop series is a collection of classes that cover – use of colour, texture, florals, bouquets, arrangements, and flower knowledge. Great for all skill levels. There is always something new to learn! By the end of the series students will have enough experience to practice at home, or even apply for a job at a flower shop!
Our students included novices Bonnie, Colette and Kat, intermediate student Tracey, and expert student Calida, who is a very experienced flower farmer-cum-floral designer at Bathtub Gardens – an Organic flower farm in Pemberton, BC!
The group of us had a fab time snacking, learning, and snipping some flowers.
This gorgeous pink beauty was made by student Kat! I can hardly believe that she has never attended a class before! Well done!
This punchy orange beaut was created by Bonnie! A first timer, and already a pro at colour combos.
Film exec by day, florist on the weekend, student Colette made such a sultry yet fresh design!
Tracey went for a modern look, using calla lilies and hydrangea in a european fashion.
And Calida’s masterpiece of jasmine vine, dahlias, feverfew and green trick dianthus.
