This wedding was particularly special in a lot of ways. What takes my breath away about M & P’s wedding is the amount of trailing greenery and vines that bring such life and movement to the occasion. Those gorgeous jasmine vines and the dainty Japanese anemones came from the garden of the mother of the bride. Both the bride and her mother share a love of gardening, so the UBC Botanical garden is a perfect fit for the venue.
Another reason we are so honoured to design for the couple is because M (the bride) was one of the photographers for the wedding of Garden Party’s owners/head designer Amy & Caley!
How stunning is this bridal bouquet!!?!! We used Japanese anemones and trailing jasmine vines from the mother of the bride’s garden and mixed them with ivory and blush roses, juliette and white o’hara garden roses. Also a major feature are the apricot coloured ranunculus with blushing bride, scabiosa, astilbe and premium greenery like eucalyptus and olive branch. Oh yeah, and a hint of eryngium thistle for a little touch of blue, beacause why not?
The amazing arch was built by the groom!!! And of course the coordinating flower installation by us. Some serious team effort to make all the elements come together.
The pops of orange and blue are everything! It really opens up the spectrum of colour and breathes life into the muted pastels.
