Once Upon a time, there was a Princess Bride

And a Prince Charming

Just kidding! Its Florey and Olivia (but close enough). If you’ve ever wanted to feel like royalty, in a princess dress, with a tiara, prince charming and fairy tale whimsical florals? Olivia and Florey really did it! Last summer we helped them create the most beautiful fairy tale wedding. And we can show you how.

Olivia and Florey wanted ethereal beauty, soft touches of blush and draping greenery to bring their fairytale wedding to life. I believe that part of the reason we love the fairytale story is because of the fine details. All those little details allow us to really believe in the magic. Here we created small floral pieces using cream dahlias, matthiola stocks, blushing bride, lisianthus, draping eucalyptus and of course garden roses to show off the delicate whimsy of the display/dessert table. The florals mixed with the greenery, old books, moss and desserts might almost fool you into thinking little fairies or magic birds helped us with the setup!

Florey and Olivia as a couple took my breath away! For the bridal bouquet we used the famous and coveted peach Juliette garden roses, blush matthiola stocks, ivory vendela roses, white O’Hara garden roses, dusty miller, silver dollar eucalyptus, seeded eucalyptus and some of my personal favourite tiny flowers called astrantia. As Florey helps Olivia out of the car, we get a gorgeous view of that princess bride bouquet!

For the ceremony we designed two structures to hold florals. The first archway that all the guests (and of course the bride and groom) step through was made of wooden doors that we draped with flowing greenery, and filled with all the glorious garden blooms to let everyone literally step through to the fairy tale realm of Florey and Olivia’s romantic wedding!

The second structure is the ever so quickly trending Chuppah. The Chuppah is traditionally built for Jewish weddings, but they provide such a statement decor option for the ceremony that all types of brides and grooms have opted for a Chuppah. They’re definitely trending and its no surprise why. I just love that draping plumosa fern and blushing bride!!

The for the reception tables we of course carried over that floating fairy princess vibe with those same ivory/blush tones, dainty greenery with a flowing natural look. We kept the long and low shape, and the centrepieces appear as small gardens growing on each table.

For the head table we did a long floral table decorum of all things fairy tale floral. The blooms are those same blushes and peaches with added hydrangea. The draping green over the table sides is amaranthus, seeded eucalyptus and Italian ruscus, which really helps to create that “enchanted” element that every fairy tale needs.
